While rumours flutter like confetti that Meghan Markle will wear Burberry - designed by Christopher Bailey - on her big day, I wonder what will lie beneath her dress… What about the shoes?
When I got married I specifically wanted a short dress to show off my shoes because I’m nothing if not dedicated to my cause! Protocol will require Meghan to wear a British designed dress and if she does choose Burberry, her footwear will likely be Burberry too. I’m in awe of her her elegant ankles, they are so slim, so I hope we get to see a glimpse of them on May 19th.
While I doubt Meghan will kneel down at the altar to reveal Sophia Webster’s signature Wifey for Lifey slogan stamped on her soles, I’ve put together a wishlist of wedding shoes fit for a future duchess, with a little artistic licence that includes international brands because, hey, it’s 2018.

The style worn by Webster on her own wedding day in the prettiest shade of pink.
£545, Nicholas Kirkwood at Far Fetch

£245, Camilla Elphick
With an illustration of Venus on the heel as a reminder to Harry that he is punching.
$845, Tabitha Simmons

£790, Miu Miu at Net-a-porter
An abundance of crystals make these feel rightly royal.
£740, Francesco Russo at Net-a-porter

£550 OFF WHITE C/O Jimmy Choo at Net-a-porter.com
As part of a collection inspired by Princess Diana, these would be a charming acknowledgement to Harry’s mothers’ continued style icon status.

Is it wrong I only chose these because they are named Wallace?
